Spain Meeting


This was the second meeting with children. Spanish, Turkish and Polish went to Italy. Italian children went to Spain, because they were the only one who still didn´t travel.


FIRST DAY

A lot of surprises were prepared for our guests from Spain. First of all a Wellcome Ceremony in the school. All the pupils participated in a collaborative dance with the flags of each country. A very nice perfomance.




After the School Wellcome: Flamenco. A great oportunity to live friendly a Flamenco Show. In a wellcoming place like "Cortijo Miraflores" everybody could enjoy this performance and they could practice with the professional singer and dancers.

In the Town City Hall, Carmen Díaz (Education Councellor) received us in the plenary hall. An official wellcoming of the city for our guests.

FIRST DAY - AFTERNOON


In the afternoon we visited Marbella and surroundings. Some pupils of 1st E.S.O. came with us, because they went to Italy last May, and they did some excursion with their Italian friends.

SECOND DAY - VISITING GRANADA

One of the most important monuments in Spain "La Alhambra" was the visit of this day. The arabic Palace is very well conservated and we couldn´t miss the chance of visit this historic place.

THIRD DAY - VISITING SELWOO MARINA (BENALMÁDENA) & MIJAS

Benalmádena was the next stop. There is an Acuatic Zoo (Selwoo Marina) very interesting for children. Dolphins, parrots or sea lions shows were some of the spectacles we saw. An unforgettable experience for Italian and Spanish children.



MIJAS
After Benalmádena, the group arrived to Mijas. The Mayor of the village D. Antonio Sánchez Pacheco received us in the Town City Hall.

FIFTH DAY - ANDALUCIA´S DAY & CLAUSURE CEREMONY

For the Clausure Ceremony, Spanish school prepared a lot of activities. A day about Andalucia with different stands (Gastronomy, Typical Dances, Video Stand, Tradiotional Tales and Crafts).

After the stands we had a "Flamenco" party. Chidren were performing typical dances of Andalucía.

SIXTH DAY - VISITING MÁLAGA

Last day we visited Málaga, the capital of our province. Cathedral, Alcazaba, Picasso Museum and typical streets were some of the places where we went.
